The resulting design of our architectural project is a bridge in the relationship between a community and its water source, enhancing their lives through a physical solution. The Saigon river system encompasses the city of Ho Chi Minh and ends in the Mekong Delta. Its path through the city is polluted, and the population suffers from recurring monthly floods, especially those in district 4 where our community is located. Because of this deactivated water source and the social context of Ho Chi Minh City, many groups in the city suffer from the lack of a steady drinking water supply. Our design tries to respond to this situation.
