Scents of Sense

Annotation

I want to be taken to a different place. A place to calm my mind and ignite my curiosity. To explore—not just my own field, but others too. I want to feel the desire to learn, not because I’m forced to, but because it feels natural. A place that enhances all five senses. The sight of colorful plants and artworks. The touch of garden surfaces, the gentle glaze of clay while making pottery, and the feel of walking barefoot on paths and grass. The sounds of rustling leaves, buzzing insects, and animals singing at night. The taste of trying new foods, savoring old favorites while studying. And finally… the smell. The scent of plants, earth, and the unfamiliar. The scent that guides you through the space. I know that place. There’s a tower with mist flowing out of it. Have you heard of it?

my key experience from erasmus

The Department of Architecture at NUS in Singapore offers a completely different experience compared to our school. Extensive workshops, only seven people in a studio, and long, personal consultations. A different perspective on architecture, like a different perspective on the world. Concept and vision are highly valued, while execution techniques come last. Boldness in projects and a vision for a different future world.
