Revitalisation of the former landfill near Český Brod

During the COVID-19 pandemic and the numerous lockdowns that accompanied it, the residents of Český Brod became acutely aware of the lack of recreational areas in the surrounding countryside. This realization led the town councillors to turn their attention to an unused area that had previously served as a landfill. Conveniently situated between Český Brod and Liblice, this area has gained significant importance due to the planned expansion of both settlements. The former landfill itself possesses a truly unique character. Its origins have resulted in a varied landscape with numerous depressions and elevations, creating diverse habitat conditions. Additionally, restricted access to the site has allowed nature to develop and thrive undisturbed, further enhancing its ecological richness.
