Housing Podbělohorská

Despite the studio's enriching introduction to the theme of the garden city and its wide spectrum of interpretations, I designed a rather urban-speaking house, which would anchor the site in such a way that it introduces new urban elements. The shape of the house is specific with its "tentacles", which open and thus create three different bays, two of them are opening into the landscape. At the intersection of the existing streets, the house frees up space, thanks to which the ensemble does not behave like a closed enclave, but offers a publicly accessible space. The project was partly my experiment, in which I wanted to check whether, thanks to the division, height differences, choice of facade and placement in the sloping terrain, this relatively large structure can withstand.
