Straight lines, smooth facades or well-lit spaces. In the 1930s, Czech architecture was ruled by functionalism. This is also the period when the Bulovka Hospital was established in the complicated terrain of Prague 8. Na Bulovce University Hospital is an extensive hospital complex, located on a hill adjacent to Bílá skála, in Liben. During the year, about fifty thousand patients are hospitalized in the hospital, while thousands more visit it as daily patients. Today's situation, however, is becoming critical.
