Exhibition of Studio Projects
Slavic Hovel
Annotation
As we head from Klárov towards the Chotkova Street, a depersonalized non-house emerges before our sight, attracting us with its standoffishness and retreat. The interior, hidden underneath the metal crate, contains an impressive walkway through Slavic history. The exhibition hall is divided into separate blocks, with each of the floor heights rising with the terrain, so the visitor goes around the whole course and finishes at the place where they began. The facade is clad in brass sheets, creating a feeling of intimacy and discretion and the horizontal skylights provide proper daylight conditions for the paintings.
