Restoration of the forgotten landscape of Petřvald
Annotation
Between Ostrava and Karviná, besieging the forests, lies the town of Petřvald, marked by its once ancient history - coal mining.
The aim of the work was to identify points of interest in the village that have the potential for renewal and to find a connection and hierarchy between them.
The main point of interest is the water reservoir, formerly a purely usable water area for coal sludge. Due to the location and property rights of the water area, its re-use, in favor of improving the quality of public space, is highly encouraging.
The study also includes the design of a pedestrian cycle path that runs around the whole village, responding to existing paths, historic roads and railway tracks, and also connecting the points of interest I have selected.
