MEMENTO MORI
Annotation
"remember that you [have to] die."
This commonly used phrase has its roots in ancient Rome and continues to remind us of the transience of human life, its fragility, and impermanence. Memento mori has become an important motif in Christianity as well, where its symbolism is associated with religious and spiritual expression. For centuries, it has been trying to explain to us the fact that death is an inevitable part of human life, and humanity should learn to cope with it. It helps us focus on what truly matters and avoid wasting time and energy on superficialities. Therefore, we should reflect and translate the meaning of Memento mori into the concept of the present day. Should we uncover the mysteries of death and thereby accept it as a natural part of life?
