Music pavilion Žižkov
Annotation
The design of the music pavilion is located at the end of Jeronýmova Street, directly adjacent to the cycle path. The high population density in this area aims to enrich their lives with cultural activities and create new spaces and opportunities for gatherings. Music is seen as a means of connecting people, expressing emotions, understanding, and empathy. The building is divided into two parts: a massive concrete base partially embedded in the hill contains two differently sized mezzanine recording studios and facilities, while the lighter skeletal structure with CLT panel infills houses the concert hall with 130 seating places. The wall of the hall is openable, allowing the music to spread beyond the confines of the hall and engage the surrounding area.
