HOUSING LIBEŇ
Annotation
An overgrown road under the viaduct, broken asphalt with puddles among the greenery. On one side, a dense city; on the other, an improvised cabin colony. A slope, trees, water, and fences. Libeň. I design structural apartment buildings for this place. An urban checkerboard that creates niches, nooks, and courtyards, opening to itself and creating a rich structure of different characters and atmospheres, and in which each apartment has a view of at least two cardinal directions. Thus, I take advantage of the qualities of the perimeter block and the detached houses at once. The housing is designed to be contact-based: we see each other, know each other, garden together, and help each other. I'm interested in how the character of the street and garden can be blended together.
