Museum of Public Transport New Entrance

The project aimed to design a new entrance for the Museum of Public Transport located at the historical tram depot in the Střešovice neighbourhood. Building and its design are based on two main principles that support its connection with the surrounding area. The connection is happening on two levels, namely visual and functional. Firstly, the shape of the building arose from the tram turnaround loop from which the inner layout was derived. Regarding a functional scheme, I´ve decided to completely isolate the still operational tram depot and the actual museum. To accomplish that, I´ve designed an underground tunnel that takes visitors on an underground adventure.
