The bridge over the Labe
Annotation
The proposed bridge over the Elbe is part of the new bypass around the town of Hostinné and represents a modern steel construction. The new bridge structure will be implemented as a steel composite beam cable-stayed construction, deep-founded on large-diameter piles. The supporting structure consists of a steel grid, which includes welded steel longitudinal beams and crossbeams that are parallel to the shore. This grid is supported at the points of contact with the cable by a steel cable anchored in concrete pylons in the shape of a triangle on both banks of the river. The cable runs perpendicular to the crossbeams and obliquely to the bridge at an angle of 26.53°. Its path takes the shape of a parabola, ensuring optimal load distribution and structural stability.
