SUMMER PAVILION

The summer pavilion in Kampa design to a newly created park bordered by a historical building near Tyršov house. I chose the simple solution of the pavilion with a wooden structure for its temporary nature and possible relocation of the pavilion to another location or reuse. The place is primarily intended for practicing yoga, but it offers variability in its use and at the same time has hygienic facilities for visitors. The wooden structure creates lightness and airiness of the pavilion. To illuminate the pavilion and preserve the open floor plan undisturbed by the internal columns, I chose a skylight as a supporting structural element. At the same time, the supporting skylight stiffens the entire structure and is anchored to it from all sides.
