Exhibition of Studio Projects
Film School SKYBOX
Annotation
A light facade in the shape of a film strip was chosen for a large part of the building. It provides a sufficient supply of daylight and views of the surroundings.
By aligning the floor with the bottom edge of the film tape, it allows the entire silhouette of the character to be seen from the exterior. Students and teachers thus create a living cinema with the facade for passers-by every day.
The material solution reacts to the surrounding block development with its height and the distribution of the two main buildings along the edge of the plot. Their supporting structure consists in the use of columns with cores and spreader plates. The bodies are connected by soundstage classrooms and a piazzetta made of a partially suspended lattice structure.
