KOLIN - CITY LIBRARY JIRÁSKOVO NÁMĚSTÍ

The project of the new Kolín City Library on Jiráskov Square represents a modern and distinctive architectural element that responds to the diversity of the surrounding development. The circular-shaped building combines a concrete ground floor with a light glass facade of the three upper floors, equipped with slats as part of the shading system. The central part of the library is illuminated by four skylights that provide natural light inside. The simple and symmetrical floor plan supports the orientation of users, while the roof offers a terrace with seating, creating a pleasant space for relaxation and community activities. The project is designed as a dominant of the public space and a symbol of modern education.
