High Speed RAILBLOCK Smíchov

The RAILBLOCK project focuses on the revitalization of the open space in the Smíchov area, which is divided by two railways and contains several small buildings. The design proposes the demolition of the unused northern railway, randomly placed low-rise buildings to the south, and the completion of the block to the north across U Železničního mostu street. The entire area is divided into two main zones, separated by the railway, and further into three parts: a residential zone to the north, two office buildings to the west and east, and a free space between them, forming an organized park. The park is accessible through a passage in the northwest corner of the residential building, connecting several directions, such as Smíchov Station and the future Smíchov City.
