FROM THE VILLAGE TO THE COUNTRYSIDE... AND BEYOND!

While carrying out the analytical part, we were interested in historical villages in the cadastral area of Karlovy Vary. Karlovy Vary is a very important and old Czech town. However, it was surprising for us to discover smaller villages that are demonstrably older than Vary itself. Yet they do not receive as much attention at all, and there is not as much emphasis on preserving the historical legacy of these villages. We decided to join forces and create a conceptual solution for the eight selected villages. The main themes of this concept are the public space of the villages, the connection between the intravilan and extravilan and the pedestrian connection between the villages.
