DREI-MAL

Malovanka is currently a transit area primarily geared towards car traffic. The junction acts as a barrier, hindering pedestrian movement in the vicinity. What possibilities exist for transforming this space? How can Malovanka be restored for the benefit of the people? DREI-MAL is a sub-part of the group project Malovaná Malovanka. It is situated at the interface of the elevated platform that serves as the roof and the existing ground level. It creates an imaginary gateway, providing access to the surrounding area and the tunnels. The current traffic conditions significantly influenced its design. The project integrates urban housing with rental commercial space and a community area, located at the westernmost part, suitable for leisure activities or workshops.
