The House in the gap HA2

Tereza Tomanová

Annotation

The project responds to unused space in Prague, specifically the unwanted gaps between buildings that naturally arise over time. One such gap is located on Haštalská Street, which this project focuses on. The design seamlessly connects two neighboring buildings, which are very different in shape, height and style. The building aims to gently unify the space and harmoniously integrate into its surroundings. At the same time, however, it retains its unique character and brings something new to the place. A development with spacious apartments was created on a relatively small and geometrically complex plot. Terraces and glass surfaces play a key role in the design, offering unique and expansive views of the outskirts of Prague.
