Yard conversion

The concept of the design of the courtyard is inspired by the gradual filling of the inner blocks in its surroundings. The Karlín blocks are one of the largest in Prague by their scale, for which we can thank the Barracks, whose size determined the grid of this part of the city. The free area inside the blocks was then gradually filled with buildings of various sizes. Our proposal is not about precisely given dimensions and precisely determined functions for every meter of free space. The goal was to check the possibilities of using the yard and to create a possible guide on how to work with this free and large space.
