HOUSE IN THE GAP PER

Robert Martinásek

Annotation

The parcel at Perštýn is a plot of land in the center of Prague, located in the gap between the Old Town and New Town. For most people, this is a relatively unattractive site due to its irregular shape, surrounded on both sides by historic buildings. My proposal aims to create a building that connects and complements the historical and height structure of the surrounding development. The building’s floor plan utilizes nearly the entire parcel while preserving a small courtyard in the center. A distinctive central line in the design is intended to articulate the dormer on the house to the right. The building provides two apartments per floor, with layouts ranging from studio (1+kk) to three-bedroom (3+kk) units. The top floor features a public terrace, offering residents a space for relax.
