PILSEN: The (rail)way to work and recreation

The project focuses on the urban development of Plzeň, a city renowned for its rich historical and industrial heritage. The main goal is to address the division between the northern and southern parts of the city caused by the railway, which has become both a physical and mental barrier. The project aims to reorganize the surrounding areas, enhancing their functionality and aesthetic appeal. Proposed solutions include integrating the railway infrastructure into the urban fabric, creating comfortable zones for residents and visitors, and improving accessibility and spatial connectivity. This initiative seeks to enhance the quality of the urban environment, strengthen social and cultural integration, and create an attractive cityscape that respects both the historical and contemporary contex
