Conversion of the Rear Building of the Kasaren Karlín

The conversion of the rear building of the Karlín barracks transforms this historic structure into a modern multifunctional space that brings together culture, creativity, and community life. The project preserves the original appearance of the building, including its windows and façade, while introducing modern elements such as a glass staircase that enhances the interior with light and openness. A key feature is the two-story library with views of the courtyard, seamlessly connecting the interior with the exterior. The building now offers a library, a coworking space with a café, a multifunctional bar, a restaurant, and an art studio.
