In this semester, we designed towers in Holešovice to improve local orientation and for efficient use of space. My task is specifically a place near Orten Square near Dox. The existing "block" consists of three parallel apartment buildings, which do not connect to Plynární street at all, do not provide it with an active parterre, and they disrupt the development by their character. My solution is two masses of trapezoidal plan, one horizontal and one vertical. They connect to the blind facades of the mentioned buildings and thus close this block, separating the semi-private space for the residents from the public space in the street. Due to the limited space, they protrude above the street and close the sidewalk with their archway, which is supposed to make the parterre more pleasant.
