New village: The Bridge

My project combines three important functions: a residential house, a stable, and a bridge. One of the problems in Mstěnice was that accessing the main building required crossing one of two streams. There is a bridge over the Rouchovanka stream, but the Račický stream lacks one. The aim of the project was to improve access to the main structure, which is why I designed a wide bridge that allows for comfortable pedestrian passage while also providing space for a stable and a residential house for a horse caretaker and their family. Inspiration was drawn from traditional stables and medieval houses, where residential areas, storage, and farming spaces were often unified in a single long building.
