Žitenice

The urban fabric of Žitenice is largely stabilized. The key topics of this urban task are public spaces, transportation, and amenities. In the medium term, the municipality aims to purchase the local château and the adjacent courtyard, which presents opportunities for future development. The village lacks a primary school and a recycling yard. The dysfunctional village square and poorly designed street layout complicate daily life. On the other hand, the abundance of narrow and winding pedestrian shortcuts and pathways can be considered an urban asset. The project includes a comprehensive concept for transportation within the village, proposals for new connections, including the restoration of some lost paths, naming ofchanges to surfaces, and the overall revitalization of the main square.
