HOUSE IN THE GAP HA2

Kamila Dolejšková

Annotation

The project deals with the construction of a house filling the gap between the old and new town in the center of Prague in Haštalská Street. The goal of the design was to connect these two parts of the city and create a house that would naturally complement the created gap. The house consists of two masses, where the facades try to connect with the surrounding buildings on both sides. It is also connected to the surrounding buildings by two subtle cornices, which gradually divide the house. The front facade reflects the function of the interior spaces, which are distributed on three parallel axes. This proposal tries to make the best possible use of the shape-demanding plot and naturally complement the surrounding development with its material and facade solution.
