Brut & Verde

Revitalisation of Prague's most important brownfield - Pragovka. On the square of the urban plan I propose compact simple massive masses - firmly planted in time and space. The gravitas of the objects is reinforced by a material solution inspired by the industrial halls in the area overgrown by nature - concrete and green ceramic cladding. The buildings contain an apartment building and a nursing home which together provide 88 apartments of various sizes, all of which in the second building are wheelchair-accessible. The ground floor of the apartment building gives way to the square under the arches and offers 4 commercial areas while the ground floor of the care home is located on the first floor. The ground floor of the building has a day-care centre for the elderly.
