Exhibition of Studio Projects

Museum of time and traces

Bc. Tereza Laura Cisáriková

Annotation

The project is set in the picturesque landscape of Mštěnice near Dukovany, on the site of a former medieval village. Respecting the site's historical significance, an elevated platform on columns creates a levitating ring around the original village. Inspired by the medieval settlement, the design features an archaeology museum with an interactive workshop and an archaeologist’s family house with panoramic views. A modular approach, reflecting the precision of archaeological work, is applied to facades and layouts. The façade, a green steel HEB beam grid symbolizing education and growth, features a 1x1 m grid within an 8x8 m composition. Volumetric elements evoke the fragmentary nature of archaeological findings, blending aesthetics with discovery.
