Vršovice. A district with many characters. In the project, I am dealing with the area of "Lower" Vršovice, where I am designing a set of block-like buildings on the assigned plots. This approach builds upon the character of the "Upper" Old Vršovice and reintroduces the lost compactness to the Vršovice train station area. The newly designed buildings feature active ground floor, supermarket areas, and apartments of various types. The entire block responds positively to the railway. There is a square by the railway station building, a pedestrian zone along the tracks. The courtyard is accessible through semi-public passages, the small cross-section does not encourage public entry and thus allows for social control of the courtyard.
