Exhibition of Studio Projects
Little Big Tower
Annotation
The goal of this studio project is to implement zoning regulations for skyscraper construction, inspired by the principles of New York City urbanism. As a global metropolis with a long history of vertical development, New York offers a unique framework of regulations aimed at harmonizing dense construction with public spaces and sustainable growth. These principles are applied to Smíchov City, addressing contemporary urban challenges, respecting the local context, and exploring how to use space efficiently.
This studio work focuses on adapting these principles to the Czech context while exploring key questions: how to combine density with high-quality public spaces, how to respond to the needs of contemporary society, and how to design an urban quarter that embodies a vision for 21st.
