Cold building – distant edge of the universe. The rooftop garden of the hospital is a place where the mind escapes the confines of rules and anxiety. It is both adventurous and soothing. It offers privacy while encouraging socialisation. Patients and visitors alike can, just as they might in their own backyard, watch wildflowers bloom, butterflies flutter... To truly explore the garden, one must step into unique circular spaces. These enclosures hold elements designed to ignite abstract thinking: Lightweight volcanic stones for building, a zoetrope, or a large wooden xylophone. The garden contributes to the healing of both body and soul. Here, patients can momentarily forget their hardships and rediscover the sense of freedom.
