NÁKLO SAND GRAVEL PIT

The thesis deals with the locality of the gravel pit in Náklo, in the Olomouc region, which faces pressure to expand mining activities and create additional anthropogenic lakes. Despite their potential negative impacts on the landscape, these lakes represent a significant contribution in terms of biodiversity, which has become an important subject of conservation and ecosystem development. The thesis proposes a phased plan and vision for the area up to 2070, along with the reclamation and revitalization of the surrounding area. The design emphasizes integrating elements and features that will support ecological stability, aesthetic value, and multifunctional use of the site.
