King‘s mill: Frame of Memories

Annotation
"The memory of the city is shaped by collective memory, which is built through the cultural and historical values shared by society" (Aldo Rossi, The Architecture of the City, 1988). This quote inspired the design process. The building represents a synthesis of the theme of the threshold as an archetype of architecture, understood as the connection between interior and exterior, and between memory and contemporaneity. Through a process of deconstruction, the traditional house is reinterpreted to meet the needs of the festival and winter season hikers.
