Annotation
The project deals with building a gap between two different houses in the centre of Prague in Haštalská Street. The design tries to make the best use of the formally demanding plot and to complement the surrounding buildings with its material and façade design. On the ground floor there is a publicly accessible café. There is also a multi-storey study/library and on the top floors there are apartments with a beautiful view of historic Prague.
Is it possible to connect two completely different houses by inserting another, completely different one between them? Maybe that difference is the link - a bridge that doesn't have to merge...
