SUMMITS AND BORDERS

The main idea of this project is the concept of connection - whether between nations, cultures, or between the known past and the unrevealed future. The dominant element of the design is the tower, whose steel structure spirals upwards, using the original military tower as a supporting element. The steel "auger" either bypasses or permeates the interior spaces, creating "oases" in the darkness that evoke contrasts and tensions between past and present. This spatial relationship between the new and old structure expresses not only a historical but also a symbolic transition between what has been and what is yet to come. The distance that connects the replica of the Dyleň tower to its actual top is reflected in the length and shape of the tower's spiral, thus capturing the memory of the clos
