Low Speed Block - Living in Smichov

The task was to design a project on a vacant lot in smichov. The plot is located on the outskirts of Prague and is next to a busy railroad track. The area is characterised trough a fast pase development to a new quarter of prague. My project tries to fit into this development and to complete the block and add to this new neighbourhood. The typology, dimensions and materiality of the design are in line with the local development. The design is characterized by a large inner courtyard that follows the example of the neighbouring buildings and has two additional volumes to create more denisty and more living space in the new quarter.
