Žitenice brewery

The Žitenický brewery is coming back to life. Beer has been brewed here since 1654, and after a 102-year hiatus, the tradition is being revived. The design focuses on blending historical elements with modern interventions while ensuring accessibility to its unique elevated spaces. From the street, the brewery presents a sense of mystery—its facade largely inaccessible, enticing visitors to uncover its secrets. The main entrance remains discreet, revealing itself only after traversing the narrow alley leading to the castle. Once inside, visitors are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the massive wooden roof, the brewery boilers, and stunning vistas of the surrounding region.
