NEXUS

Nexus from the Latin nex – to connect Nexus - connection, focal point. A building that resembles a crystal with its glass facade and specific geometry. It stands on the edge of a platform that covers a large traffic node and creates a new neighborhood in an otherwise impenetrable location. A road passes directly through Nexus, breaking its smooth front, which now dominates Patočkova Street and allows for a connection to the hidden intersection. The infrastructure clearly defines the shape of the building, which is surrounded by lanes. It stands on a visually solid concrete base that grounds it. The supporting system below the terrain is formed by truss structures, thanks to which the area directly above the tunnel is usable for construction. The double glass outter shell lightens Nexus.
