THREE HOUSES

The apartment building on Na Hrázi Street draws inspiration from the historical and cultural context of Libeň, closely tied to the life of Bohumil Hrabal. The design respects the scale of the surrounding buildings and offers two apartments per floor, fostering a sense of intimacy and community. The ground floor is dedicated to a literary beer club, serving as a place for socializing, relaxation, and honoring Hrabal’s legacy. In the passageway leading to the courtyard, quotes from his books are displayed on one of the walls, connecting the cultural and communal aspects of the project. The design is inspired by the atmosphere of Libeň, where industrial heritage intertwines with literary tradition, reflected in the building’s details.
