The project Nová Ves is being developed on the site of the medieval village of Mstěnice. Since it is a historical location we did not want to interfere with, an oval platform was created around the original village on which the new village stands. The goal was to create a village that would be independent and sustainable. My design is an apartment building composed of several shipping containers. This is a flexible solution where it is possible to change the layout and adapt the spaces according to the needs of the residents. The apartments are designed as minimal living spaces, but for the comfort of the residents, there is a greenhouse on the roof of the apartment building, which serves as a community room for gatherings and a shared laundry.
