Monastery Vilemov

The monastery complex with a brewery and accommodation for pilgrims complements the surrounding buildings with its location in an urbanistic way and thus closes the courtyard space. At the same time, it tries to make maximum use of the existing surrounding terrain so that it is modified as little as possible. With its shape, the object not only complements the surroundings, but also forms the shape of a cross, in the center of which is the very heart of the monastery - the paradise courtyard. The monastery consists of four solid masses, concrete houses with individual functions, and they are connected by an airy, fully glazed, wooden cloister. It is surrounded by greenery on the outside and faces the paradise courtyard on the inside. This expresses the connection with nature.
