Annotation

Oil rigs, once dominators of the mining industry, have left significant ecological consequences in the oceans. Their recycling and conversion into functional structures offers new horizons. One such solution is the transformation of abandoned oil platforms into ecologically and socially beneficial structures. The proposed on-water databank project offers an innovative way to transform these steel giants into facilities used to store data, biological samples and genetic information. The whole structure is 'alive'. Both inside and outside. The data of the organisms of the Adriatic Sea are stored in the underwater and the shell that covers the entire above-water part contains agar with micro-organisms that give us information about the climate and the surrounding conditions.
