Annotation

The project transforms Smíchov City into a Tokyo-inspired district with a residential building and school. The design features varied heights and irregular rooftops, reflecting Tokyo’s dynamic skyline. The school is composed of interconnected pavilions with a walkable roof, creating a dynamic, usable space that integrates with the urban landscape. It has two levels, mirroring the layered organization typical in Tokyo, and incorporates materials inspired by traditional Japanese architecture. The buildings follow a morphing plane aligned with the sun’s path to optimize natural light, blending playful forms with functionality and creating a unique, evolving identity for the district.
