POLYCLINIC BELOW THE PARKING HOUSE

The block in Žižkov, accessible from Biskupcova Street, is being transformed to merge its historical character with today’s needs and a vision for the future. The garage, featuring a vaulted hall and annexes for 100 cars, is being restructured with a clearer layout and a new purpose. Unnecessary annexes are removed, while the hall with its distinctive vault is preserved as a historical and aesthetic feature. A new concrete extension increases capacity to 150 parking spaces and offers flexibility – today a parking facility, tomorrow medical offices, administrative spaces, or housing. The side aisles are converted into medical offices, addressing the shortage of healthcare services in Žižkov. The project preserves the genius loci while preparing the space to meet the city’s future needs.
