FLOOD MEMORY CAPSULE

Project was created in the Karel studio, where was theme Phenomenon of Water. I was inspired by the devastating floods that hit the Czech Republic in 2024 and by my family’s personal experiences with flooding. I heard stories of people losing not only their homes but also personal items - family photos, birth certificates, or keepsakes. These losses motivated me to design a memory capsule against floods, allowing valuables to be kept safe even during flooding. The capsule is floating, waterproof, and durable to protect its contents from damage. It serves both practical purposes and as an aesthetic element in the interior. The product is designed for people living in flood-prone areas who want the reassurance that their memories and essential belongings will remain safe.
