Administrative Building / Ústí nad Labem

The office building is designed in an urban development in Předlice on the outskirts of the city of Ústí nad Labem. It is situated following the original block development, in which it completes the main central axis. The structure operates on the principle of an appropriately chosen slenderness ratio, with as little floor plan as possible. This is achieved by the concept of two separate towers, which are connected by a curtain wall. This gives the object a sense of airiness, and visually leaves the focus to two dominant masses. The second casing consists of photovoltaic panels, cladding and rotating panels, which contribute to the intelligent use of the structure and ensure greater energy self-sufficiency. It is distinctive largely because of its aesthetic form.
