The bottom above
Annotation
The main motive of my design is water and its reflective surface, which I perceive as a large natural mirror. Thanks to the reflection, our gaze can never reach the tank’s bottom. Whether we look up or down, our gaze is always high above the trees.
I designed the tank space as a place to rest and think. It consists of a water surface and wooden structures, thanks to which the space can be comfortably bypassed. In the eastern part of the reservoir, two terraces for rest and seating stairs were created.
An important element of the design are the wooden piers, which are dimensioned so that only one person can stand at their outermost end. This element symbolizes that one is always alone in one's decisions and bears full responsibility for them. Only a hand out of the nearby pier can help.
