EXHIBITION PAVILION IN LETNÁ

Adam Sůva

Annotation

A concept for an art pavilion building in which photographs and backdrops from Wes Anderson's cinematic work become the exhibition. The ground floor, with its unconventional floor plan and distinctive floor-to-ceiling windows, creates an open space evoking nostalgia and childlike curiosity, while the first floor, with its square skylights illuminating the omnipresent concrete, creates an intense atmosphere that is disturbed by the colour and variety of the artist's work. The pavilion offers a paved area above the ground for relaxation, the possibility of summer screenings and allows for inquisitive exploration of the building's surroundings, referencing Anderson's strong sense of creativity and fun. Overall, this creates an architectural space linked to the director's artistic legacy.
