Vysehrad- the change of perspective

Anisha Choudhary

Annotation

From Vyšehrad, visitors can enjoy a view of Prague with many interesting landmarks. The viewpoint directed towards the Old and New Town aims to provide more specific views, focusing on important churches on the horizon – St. Vitus Cathedral, St. Nicholas Church, the Emmaus Monastery, the Church of St. John of Nepomuk, the Church of St. Apollinaris and the Church of the Virgin Mary . Windows are oriented towards these churches, with engravings of their outlines. On the opposite side of the building, on the first floor, there is a ramp offering a view of the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul. A spiral staircase running through the entire building allows visitors to reach the roof, where they can enjoy another panoramic view of all of Prague.
